Fell in from where?

I had my carbs of a few days prior to clean the idle circuits...

Oooooh, ouch! I'm always super paranoid when I pull my carbs about that happening. I usually remove all the washers from the manifold studs before lifting the carbs up, and then immediately stuff a rag or something down each manifold opening.
The washer didn't eat up your combustion chamber?

Yeah it did quite a bit, but I've cleaned up the burrs and just going to run it as is for now. I'm usually pretty paranoid about that too, but this time I wasn't so careful

My plans are getting new heads for my other engine, and then rebuild this one when I have the other one running again.

I tried, but sadly no. Even if I would have got it back together, I still have the overheating issue that I haven't solved yet.

Long time, no update. I’ve been collecting parts to swap back to 944S2 brakes all around. Playing with wheel ideas as well. Decided to clean and paint the hollow turbos that I have and it was looking good until the second layer of clear. :furious:

Another wheel consideration. I already have them, just need to refinish two of them. Porsche Dyno’s, a fairly rare Porsche Tequipment option.

Quote:
"Porsche Tequipment's core products also include sets of wheels designed by Porsche. They have become best sellers in the accessories range. Porsche Tequipment launched the first of its own wheel designs in 1997: the 17-inch Dyno wheel for the first-generation Boxster. The wheel – which was only available as a retrofitting option – was the result of close cooperation with the Porsche Design Studio."
