Thanks Ethan! Yeah, amazing what you can do for free with apps! I may spring for a pay-version of RaceRender, the PC program I used to combine the two videos with the TrackAddict data. It's got some features the free version doesn't that would be nice. RaceRender and TrackAddict are made by the same company, so they go together seamlessly. Next time I'm hoping to also log and integrate data from my Innovate system into the video, so then I can include engine RPMs and O2 readings in the video.

Yeah, well worth it on the photographer. Shouldn't need to do it again since the car won't really look any different.

I'm all signed up for autocross again on March 1st. In the mean time, I took care of a couple little things. Well, little, but important. First was the seatbelt shoulder harness mounting. I had them mounted all the way in the back of the car, on the part of the rear package tray that angles down toward the level of the tunnel. On about the first hard left turn of my first run last time, my right shoulder harness slid right off my shoulder! So I cut them to length and mounted them on the horizontal bar on the main hoop of my roll bar. I also added clamps on the outsides of them to keep them from moving around on the bar. They aren't going anywhere now! I've done this on the passenger side too since this pic was taken.

Other thing I found was that I couldn't quite get the lap and shoulder harnesses tight enough to really hold me in the seat the way I wanted. If you tried to tighten the shoulder harnesses up a lot, it would pull the lap belt away from your waste and make it feel loose no matter how tight it was. And you can't really control a car very well if you're having to struggle to keep your body from flopping around every time you turn. So I added an anti-submarine belt to the driver's side harness. This pulls everything down nice and tight and keeps the lap and shoulder harnesses from fighting each other. Now with everything snugged up I feel like I'll be very secure in the seat and be able to better focus on driving.

Here you can see the anti submarine belt coming out between the seat bottom and back.

Here's how all 5 belts come together at the buckle. Basically, you sit on the anti submarine belt and then it comes up along your crotch to meet the latch. It's not as uncomfortable as it sounds, and I only plan to use it when racing.

The other little thing I did was to design and print a retainer to keep the brake pushrod pin in place. My pin has no hole for a cotter pin, and I had previously made a retainer out of aluminum sheet, but it broke finally so I decided to print one.

I'm still trying to decide which tires to go with, I'll decide soon and get them on before my next race.

Thanks Ethan! Yeah, next time out should be even better. Better tires (hopefully this week), more secure/stable seating position, and, hopefully, better driving. I've been watching a race driving series on youtube, I highly recommend it even if you don't plan to race your car. I have learned so much, I'm hoping to apply it next time out. Here's the series: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... wxdHoeJ302
I've also figured out how to get data from my Innovate system data logger into my videos, so new videos will also have RPMs and O2 readings displayed.

Got my R888R's mounted up yesterday and put them on the car today. Damn, are these things gummy! It's amazing how deep you can press a thumbnail into them. Especially compared to my old ones, which was like, none lol. I haven't driven it yet, but just in turning the steering wheel with the front wheels on the garage floor I could tell a huge difference in the effort it took. I've come to realize, my old tires might as well been made of wood
I had no idea until I put the car on a track and started *really* pushing it.

I had to go with 195/50/16's in front with these as they don't make a 45 in that size. The 50's definitely don't look as good as the 45's did, but for the traction I can live with it. Rears are still 205/50/16's. These tires run a bit wide though, so these 205's have more tread width than most 225's. The front 195' are more like a 205 or 215. Lots of sticky rubber on the road, should be fun!
