Yeah, tough decision for sure on an early-ish car that had never been hacked. But I look at what Rod Emory does to 356's, and Buddy to VWs much more rare and valuable than mine, and it makes me think "what am I scared of?" At the end of the day, it's just metal, and it will be completely reversible should I ever get a wild hair up my ass to put my car back to stock (VERY doubtful
). On the plus side, it's going to make my car so much more fun to work on. I should be able to have the motor out in no time, and back in in no time. As it is now, I absolutely HATE pulling and installing the motor from that car. I love the idea of being able to easily pull the motor to freshen it up or fix or change something.
