well the beam is as far as I can go until the pan is finished enough to put the beam back on I have to figure out where the steering damper mount goes

well we painted the first coat of the black and it sucks. I just hope the second coat turns out better. the silver first coat looked awesome and thats what we are comparing it to. you cant tell in the pics but the paint went on real thin and started to dry with small bubbles appearing on the top. I thought that maybe I didnt mix it well enough but after mixing for several minutes it had the same outcome.

I also installed the spindles onto the beam. I hope I put the shims in right. on the samba it told me how many shims per side depending on the measurements of the offsets in the arms. well the drums look pretty straight to me so we will see.

Are you going to paint the beam? Your still going to put the undercoating on the frame ? That will hide the bad paint and the interior should cover up the inside ... I would call them and ask whats up with the bubbles ..

well the paint says it has to have two coats I am hoping that is why it bubbled up and I am still using the undercoating on the bottom and the beam will be painted as soon as I install it and figure out where I need to weld the damper mount at. I just have to get the pan painted and done before I can do the beam mock up
