Well I got a lot of work done on the bug today. I got the fuel lines changed, fuel pump installed, 12v starter installed, and electrical wires in the engine bay redone.... I thought I grinded the tranny enough so I tried putting the motor in and its was a no go... So I pulled the motor out again and tomarrow Ill be finishing up the clearance issues and I should be ready to go... Im glad it didn't rain at my place until 5pm so I was able to get alot done... Maybe I can get MK to tweek the carbs when Im done..... Ill keep you guys posted.

Sorry Kostya I have no updates for you today... The weather was permiting but, not the wife... Im actually in the process of fixing 2 projects. One being the bug and the other is remodeling the house. So I was out picking out house stuff. I did install some cabinets in the garage. Which were free out of a highrise building downtown.. I post up some pics tomarrow of my progress on the bug and maybe some video..

Hey guys I have some updates on the progress of my bug. AKA Bella. Anyways, let me start by saying this morning I recieved a call from my neighbor while i was at work and he said somebody pulled the car cover off of my bug. Not only did the person pull the cover off he was still in my bug. He thought it was me so he came to see what I was up to and some stranger popped up and said that he was pulling off a part I loned him.. Well my neigber is a constable officer and he proceeded to ask him when is Jerry gonna get the bug running. ( My name is John) The guy replied next week.. My neighbor said thats cool and said he was gonna get a camera and take a pic of the bug. But instead he came back with his badge and gun... Needless to say the guys is sitting in jail right now and my bug is not damaged or missing any parts.. I thanked my neighbor with a case of his favorite beer.

Now for the progress update of the bug.. I finally got the motor in yesterday and began installing the misc. parts such as the case breather hoses, fuel lines, doghouse, and headers.... Today I moved foward by installing the carbs with linkages, muffler, plugs, wires, blah blah, and more blah blah... To some it up. I got her running tonight and she sounds awsome.. Now I just need to tune the carbs and get her timed correctly.( I don't have a timing light thats capable to do retard or advance.) So MK Im ready for you buddy.

That sure is a crazy story. You don't park it in the garage? That engine sure looks good in there!
