OK I'm new to this 40H crap, can some one tell me where the hose from the breather is going(orange arrow)? Is this the proper bend in the metal line coming off the vacuum can (red arrow)

That is the vacuum advance ... Looks ok , I don't know if there is some mathematical logic to the length of the line or the bend.

I think the logic was to have a bend up past the Vacuum port of the Carb so if any gas would to ever get into that line it would flow back into the carb and not down into canister.

The big tube from the Air cleaner goes into the Third hole of the rear engine breast plate. what it connects to -- I don't know -- I rarely see any motors that are original these days..
