Wow, great progress man! I'll try to get over there as soon as possible to adjust your carbs and do your timing or what ever you need. dLk has a really busy weekend ahead though, so I'm not sure how soon I will be able to help you... I can tell you this though, the rods (with the heim joints) that go from the carb to the linkage need to be vertical from left-to-right, see how mine is in this picture:

Also, the tilt of them from front-to-back needs to be the same on both sides. If all that stuff isn't exactly the same from side to side your carbs will never be in synch with each other. Looks awesome though man, I can't wait to see it in person! 8-)

Hey guys thanks for the comments. Im pretty proud of what I have accomplised so far and it feels good to hear her run for the first time.. Well Mr MK I did exactly what you said to do to the linkage but I ran into a snag. One of the linkage arms was casted wrong. It seems that it is between notches. Well I tried adjusting the linkage by turning it one notch over and the split which is used for the two nuts and bolts squeezes down on broke.. Diecast is junk in this case... Anyways I fixed temporarily and took her for a drive... :D She wants to just take off when I tap the throttle. Sorry guys I have not gotten my camera out to take any vids. Just a few little things to tinker with then Ill be getting her inspected tomarrow or saturday. Ill keep you guys posted.. Oh yeah Ill call you MK this weekend maybe we can get together when you have time...

Hey guys I got her registered today... Finally.... Well I drove her arround for about 30 mins since it was a nice day and just letting her cruise... I have a couple of questoins though.. As you guys know I have an 1835 and when Im cruising in 4th it sounds like I need another gear going about 55-60mph. Well my CHT temps (Cylinder Head Temp) were hovering around 300 to 350f cruising at 55 with my oil pressure at 30psi... Should I be concerned? Right now I am running a doghouse with oil cooler, an external full flow oil filter and 2qt sump. Should I go ahead and pick up a external oil cooler? I know that the outside temp will affect the CHT readings but to what extent. What are some ways to keep her cool??? I just don't want to ruin my motor..

new motor will run a tad bit hotter till they are set in...if the timing is right then youll be fine...i have a 1955 cc stroker motor and just run a sump on the bottom no other external cooling devices or filters and it runs just fine
