I can do that. I will give you the recipe incase anyone wants to build one. I used 5' of 2x2x.1875", and 18'+- of 1.5x1.5x.125". I got alittle extra tubing to build the trailing arm jig and the total was $40.xx. 4 harbor freight casters, rated for 330lbs each, $20.xx. and 6 .5x2.5x13 grade 8 bolts and nuts, $14.xx. I guess the total was closer to $75 but I did get extra 1.5x1.5 for the jig.

The tubing I got at Triple S. They have plenty of the 2x2 hiding out there, but were low on the 1.5x1.5.

I built it to be height adjustable but only drilled one set of holes so its not adjustable right now.

Yesterday after I finished, I lifted the front end from the jack stands and the body slipped out of my hands, the hood wacked me in the head pretty hard I think i got a concusion. Didn't stop me! The right side of my face still hurts and its painful to eat. I'll live.

Does anyone have a towbar for a type1 that I can borrow?

We found a beetle for my nephew but I need a way to get it home.
