Just came in from welding up the seatbelt brackets. Just a few welds to grind down and a few areas to hit with the sandblaster.

So its been a long while for an update. Not much new. I started to tear the motor down. It was sitting in Cali. for the longest time and apparently outside. This motor was never run. Here is what I get to take care of.

The piston is fine, just dirty. The jug is rough, but I am hopeing that I can clean it and there wont be any pitting. Cross your fingers.

man...lets hope they are fine...you never realy know when you take a vw motor apart what it will look like.. always a surprise...the funny thing is that motor probly would have ran like that....hahahaha..glad you found it before turning it over

Well its been awhile since I have been able to update this car, but here we go.
Here is the car ready to go to the blasters. Fenders, hood, tailights, glove box, dash grills and ash tray cover were all in the truck.

Here is the pan sprayed in Upol bedliner by DJ. Pan looks great..
