thanks ben...we got most if it worked out..i just have to order a new blinker switch...
ethan came over along with wayne and bo even stopped by...the car is now running.....it has a small exhaust leak but still running like a champ no less. here is a pic of the motor and one of the new seats...more to come

ive done everything known to do to find the exhaust leak with no luck....looks like i might have to take it all back apart and try again...

not an exhaust leak....have not tracked it down but im still looking...at first thought it may be a stuck exhaust valve but all the valves are working..it looks like i may be burning fuel too soon causing the back fire and miss...could be bad gas...its got to be something simple because the motor ran just fine before going into this car...the only thing that is different is the exhaust....im going to get a regulator as im realy running rich... could have something to do with the backfire too..

Fouled spark plugs. For some reason(Shitty Solxex PDSIT) I am an expert on this. Chuck was having the same problem with his.

thought the same thing about the spark plug so i put the old ones back in and it still has the same problem.....ive not had a chance to look at it anymore...im taking a class at work and its been long days...ill get back on it next week

i ruled it out of the carbs today...took the carbs off and switched sides with the same outcome in the same cylender...which sux cause i would have rather just rebuilt a carb....going to take the exhaust back off on the side its popping from and replace the gasket on the number one cylinder and hope that fixes it....
