made the nice 5 mile run down to the inspection place to get my safety inspect done. Failed because one of my reflectors is not on and when testing the signals the inside light does not work. sorta ticky tack but hey at least I'm close to passing. Never really thought you HAD to have those reflectors there. It was a really nice 10 miles except I started sucking some fumes in until I closed the heaters. I don't have any tube hooded from the heat exchangers to the body. Thats next on the list with the reflector and bulb.

Passed the safety check today. got my stickers. drove down to wal-mart and bought a 6foot ladder to put up some Christmas lights. Not a big deal but a HUGE deal at the same time. nice to be driving around a bit in this sucker.

been nice driving it to work the last 3 days! I had to plug the small heater holes underneath. I was getting exhaust. one problem...My pushrod tubes leak so much oil it gets on my muffler and right about the time I get home from 30 min drive it starts to smell nasty burning oil smell. I picked up a used motor from EricA and I had planned on putting some gaskets and new pushrod tubes in it since it had spring loaded ones. just have not gotten to it yet.

Worst thing is...I have no tunes!!! Hoping to get a stereo for christmas...that and an autodarkening welding helmet and I'm in heaven.

Sweet.

I hope to someday have a vehicle worthy of a project. Alas, I have a underworld rust bucket.

Thanks for sharing.

got some 2 liters for the square project. traded for my centerlines that would not fit. i like them. Will strip paint and just polish them some time later but wanted to get rubber on them and make sure everything fit. I'll have to drop the narrow axles in to lower it some. Only running 195/60/15 but I'm super close to rubbing. No fender rolling yet though. Maybe lower it and narrow it and some 215/50/15's later. Still need front rubber also.

man you had just beat me to this car. i was gonna get try to get it when it was listed up.

anyways, if you go with the shorter axles, you can easily keep your 195/60-15s.
