Both the M1 grand and the M1 carbine are wonderful rifles to shoot. I just wouldnt want to to lug a 9 lbs. M1 grand around hunting with me :nono:

i see now i put he was shooting a m1 grand which is wrong he has a m1 carbine..a little diff weapon...your right that is heavy plus hes only 7 so the 30 06 bullet would be a little much for him....

been working on the car a little..got the door pannell in the pass side and will keep plucking away at the other side...
