Well today my car decided to try and suck the air bellows into the cooling fan........ The chunk of rubber that was removed is now believed to be stuck between the tin and the cylinder. I know this because I can smell it burning. What side its on, I have no fucking clue! I am gonna spend Sunday pulling the motor and removing any debris. I also have to order a new bellows now. PITA. Now I know why it was over heating and causing it to diesel after I killed the ignition. I thought I had some bad gas, so I retaded the timing 5 deg. God only knows what my plugs look like! On the plus side of things: Kermit can order dual Webber 34ICT's for $550 on his next shipment If I want. Linkage and shorty T3 single port intakes included & option to buy the dual port intakes. I think I have decided I am gonna build a 1750cc 86X74 stroke motor with 1.4 ratio rockers matched to a really mild cam. Should be fairly economical to build and fun to drive with these carbs. And no case work! Now I gotta get off my ass and tear down that long block thats sitting on the bench.
Damn bro!
Sorry to hear about your bad luck? What are the bellows (for those of us that aren't T3 people), is that the big oval rubber boot at the intake to the fan shroud? Sounds like you've got a nice motor planned, met me know if you need some help!
