It does sound like a vac leak to me too. How is the rubber between the balance tubes and the intakes? Do you still have the 32PDSIT carbs?(Factory) What distributor are you running? The reason I ask is, if you have a UhOh9, make sure your vac port on the driverside carb is blocked off good. It sounds like you might have knocked something loose when you reinstalled the motor. Also look at the torque of the nuts that hold the intakes to the heads. If you can keep it running, use carb cleaner at all the vac areas and when you hear the idle change you've found your problem. I used this technique to discover my vac leaks in my carbs. But thats a whole nother thread. Good luck, I've been there.......
Thanks for the encouragement, I need it. Kostya stopped by this afternoon, and discovered a problem with one of the carbs steadily dripping gas at idle. I have Webber 34ICTs, I need to buy a new float, needle and seat. Even though we didn't see a problem with the curent one. Hopefully this will fix it. Was running great before, and it doesn't make sense for it to act crazy now. I'm trying real hard to get it fixed for Saturday.
