Hello All,

Well, I figured it was time to start posting my project on these forums. I've dug into it pretty heavily, and although my updates won't come very frequent, they will eventually.

Here's what I have thus far...

http://74.95.223.137/vw/fastback.html

As you can see... what appears solid and clean from the outer skin really just hid a lot of rust and rot on the body. I've collected about 30lbs of rust chips and ungodly amounts of sand (There was enough sand behind the rear fenders to half fill a 5 gallon bucket!).

This is going to be quite a journey, and I'm already wondering if I should look for a more solid base to start my build from. The more I tear it apart, the more rust appears!!

I will be needing lots of advice and wisdom during this project. (Sarcasm, swearing, large quantities of alcohol, etc are all welcome and needed as well)

Thank you all in advance for putting up with the craziness that will be forthcoming.
