You're going to have to hack your body to get that in there I'm affraid. The jog needs to all be within an inch or two of the upper tube...

The other thing to watch out for is that since it was heated and bent, you may have that "sag/pushed" back into the body over time with the repeated pounding from the shocks. Beam still looks good though

We measured up underneath the car, and stuck the beam up there as best as we could to test-fit it. It'll be tight, but it should fit.

We are close for sure. :? The beam measures 30" across. The body is roughly 30" as well. The first bend in the shock towers was done in the press after heating it some. At 1" from the top of the tube it measures 31" across. It has a 20 degree bend in it before the second bend, which was done by cutting and then tig welding the last 3" of the tower back in an upright position. I machined a bung that's threaded for the bolts in it, then TIG welded it in place. I'm going to paint the beam prior to installing it, so hopefully it all works out. :)

When is Doug's workday???

I'd like to come out and lend a hand (depending on when it is)...plus I have a rear seat bottom for him.

It's from an actual beam.

Doug, would you mind if we did it at the workday possibly?

that sounds like a great idea, we will have plenty of people there.
