I started taking the interior out today after work, about an hour worth of work. I got the seat belts out, the back seat, everything in the back seat area actually. The whole pan is gone back there. I'm going to have trouble getting the front seats out. The driver side pan is gone the seat is almost sitting on the ground. I didn't realize the floor was so bad.

Just so you know, the local VW parts store we all go to for our ACVWs is KAR parts over of 59 and Chimney Rock. They have, or can get what you need for your project.

Ehh the pans arent so bad to replace. Look through Booms or Manos oval thread, I think that they replaced theirs and prolly has some pics in there for you. The only problem is, you are going to have to separate the body from the pan, but even that is not a real biggie

I started pulling the interior last night. I'm going to try and get the glass and fenders off this weekend. Or as far as I can get anyway. I'm trying to get it down to a rolling pan anyway. :|

On the drivers side the heater channel has a hole thru it about 3 inches back from the vent. The whole left side of the pan is gone, where the seat is, over to the center hump. The left door and the running boards are gone. But the body, fenders, hood, and trunk just have the surface stuff.

Talk to Boom on lifting the body with bad heater channels . I don't know if it is better to replace before or after you lift the body off. Just be sure to brace the door area to assure that there is no warping etc
