Drove it to work again today, everything's still good. The only thing I have noticed is that when you turn on the headlights the engine's idle speed drops by about 1-200 RPM's. :? I don't remember my 40 horse ever doing this... Anyone got any ideas, maybe a short somewhere in the headlight system? As far as I know all the lights are working fine. Or perhaps its just that with the fuel pump running and the headlights on it's enough of an extra load to make a difference compared to just the headlights when I had the 40 horse...? I guess I can experiment around with it...

Good to hear that you are up & running Brian. I am sure you will notice every little change, no matter how normal it is. Can't wait to see it (and hear it).

That is a great build up. The car is sweet, the motor sweet, the whole package is Sweet. I would be happy just to have my car pushed down the road. Wish I could see it in person.

I still have some more fine tuning to do of the fuel system, still going a bit lean on the top, but otherwise running good. I probably put 75+ miles on it on Saturday night, I think I've got over 200 miles on the new motor so far.

Thanks guys :)

The rear tires are 215-60-15's, Cooper Cobra's that I had shaved

The motor is a 2176. The only VW parts on my motor are the distributor drive gears and the oil pressure bypass plungers
