nice score on the bumpers...they are getting very hard to come by and if ya do find them most of the time they are so high in price its hard to touch them...the ones you found apear to be in awsome shape

Thanks! The bumpers on a Ghia are 3 main pieces to the front and 3 main pieces for the rear. The center sections (new) are going for $300 each! There is a company selling stainless repro versions for $1,300!
They have a few places where the chrome has blistered, but overall, they are better than the set that came with the Ghia.

I was able to finish the heads, FINALLY!!!!

So now the heads can be installed and the engine will be closer to being complete.

I will be hitting the pans, suspension, and brakes, next!

No. I didn't want to affect the seating of the valves with abrasive. Should I have?

No, you did the right thing. I would take the heads apart now though and make *sure* that all the blasting media is removed. Then lube up the valve stems with some lithium grease and reassemble (lap the valves too if you haven't already). :thumbs:
