Nacogdoches show summary & brags

Just got in from a really fun day at the Nacogdoches show. A group of us (including Jumpin' Joe) met for breakfast at the I-Hop in Porter and then cruised north for the 2+ hour drive. It was cold for the better part of the day, until awards were given out and then the sun decided to make a steady showing. The dLk gang had a canopy set up with two grills a cookin'. We had chicken, sausage (vennison & regular), hot dogs & hamburgers with extras galore. Lots of good looking cars & busses showed up making it the usual nice event. The late afternoon cruise home was nice & easy led by Joe & his 56. Several in the gang took pictures and we will get them posted as soon as possible.

dLK award winners were:

Best Engine: Joe with his 56 oval
Best Interior: Billy and his 57 oval
Top 30: Duane & his 73 Thing
Top 30: Ben & his 66 Type 1

Oh yea...Jumpin Joe did not come home empty handed either, winning Best Water-Cooled in Show with his flashy blue New Beetle.

great time...little chilly for the end of march but fun anyway...hope someone got pics of the 68 euro type one that won the show today....one top notch restoration for sure....def the show winner...

and yes joe and ben both drove their rides while mine was a trailer bitch...good job dlk at the show today :thumbs:
