yeah it really did. My OG Solex ran good but it was really worn out. I'll keep it for a spare.

Been chasing an oil leak around and after doing some research I found out how to fix it. Oil is slobbering out of a rust hole on the bottom side of the oil filler, of all places. So I need to replace it along with the seal. I hope to get it done this week before we leave for the Classic. I plan on hitting up Kaferhaus in Seabrook and hopefully they have the parts. It's either tomorrow or never cause Thursday I'm supposed to go work at one of the Houston fire stations while their guys go to the funeral for the two that got killed Sunday morning. I could always change it out at the classic!

the Shimmy is typical Super, all it takes is usually changing out the brass Idler Arm Bushing...attached is a link.

Got the bug ready for the Classic. Adjust valves, change oil, R&R oil relief valve, check tires, brake fluid, pack my tool trip bag, extra carb, extra fuel pump ,extra belt,.....anything else? I made an executive decision today. My engine is really drippy and I think it may take tearing it down to get it all right. So I maaaaay be in the market for a longblock motor at the classic. Maybe somthin like a 1641ish. If I find one at a good price Ill take it home and throw it in the bug and rebuild my old one. It would be my very first rebuild so it make take a few wrench sessions with some DLK folks to do it right. Summer project maybe? Anyway Im excited about going to the show. Itll be my first time. See you guys there, we're pullin out in the morning.
