got my steering wheel off the shaft.. now i need it shortened!!! (the shaft not the wheel)... and about to put my steering box up for to mock up...

screwed my long shift rod up trying pull it out... picking up another one in the morning locally.. (thank goodness)

i have under 2 weeks to get this a roller....

and i picked up a 1500 SP i'll be turning into a 1600... ditching the 40 horse.. not gonna be enough...

and we're getting there!!!

so... did i do it right??? its the only way i could get it apart...

and do they sell the seal??? or just use the black seal stuff...

its apart now.. so it better be apart right :D

Nope, that is definately not the right way: you are supposed to leave the colum attached to the steering box, how did you even get it apart? There should have been metal shims where you took it apart that determine the play in your steering shaft: I hope you kept those!

i kept everything.. and i know the order it came apart.. i tested it and put it back together before i left it apart... either way its apart.. now i need my shaft welded... :D
