The hose WAS the line for the A/C. Yes I have the complete system. I also have the dealer A/C schematics from 1967, if and when I decide to rebuild/reinstall it. Did you need some more info on th A/C system?

You should use it if you can, that's pretty sweet!

I was really thinking of putting it back in, that is why I am willing to store all of it. I will need to rerun new hosing, get a Sandin compressor (which I am told takes on a 1/3 of the parasitic power, and rebuild/find a new console.

It will also keep me from having to do more body fill-ins if I just leave the holes ;)

Nice project Chris. My stepson (also named Chris), has a running/driving 67 Ghia project that he paid 600 bucks for early last year. It is really for his fiance. Tough thing about a 67 is that it has a lot of "one year" only parts....just like 67 Type 1's. You should have a lot of fun putting it together and it seems like the better halves like the Ghias, which always helps with finding time to work on them along with funding their restoration ;) .

Good luck and keep the pictures coming!

I may need to look at your stepson's Ghia and take some notes. I purchased my Ghia in boxes and its challenging to know where things go!

Yeah, my better half really likes it, especially since she wants me to hurry up and get it running the the shape its in, so she can use it as a prop for the photography studio.

I am starting on the brake system, as I purchased today, a new master cylinder and brake lines. Also purchased today was windshield rubber, a new in-tank fuel screen, and new nostril rubber. Man! The costs have already added up, and its my first parts purchase!

I will keep taking pictures as I go.

Bring on the fun! :D

I think I had spent more money on lubricants and degreasers and misc cleaning tools than I did on parts for my Square! How are the metal brake lines? Now would be a good time to replace those also. Look along the tunnel on the drivers side, the retaining tabs are the first place to corrode through the lines. They trap dirt and moisture. I would draw up a set of project plans for the car. It will help you stay on track and help you budget your allocated money better. While you are doing the brakes do the wheel bearings too. Rebuild your wheel cylinders instead of buying new ones, Its soooo F'ing easy! Good luck, and post pix! We're pic whores on this site!

It was nice meeting you today! Hopefully that gas tank will work for you.

Looking forward to seeing your Ghia on the road.
