Brad, yeah im gonna pull the motor and take out the tank, meanwhile ill soak the carb and get a rebuild kit.

actually i think ill go out and get started....

thanks man ill give you a shout if im playin around with it...

after my last post i went outside and had a couple beers...

had to rip out that damn starter solenoid that started the whole electrical nightmare...

then i decided to start taking things apart for engine removal. on a side note i moved around all the cars last night to sell a 66 bug ive had and free up space in the garage for the bus... didnt realize it wouldnt fit. right away that is. had to deflate the tires abit and prop the garage door a hair higher than it naturally goes but got her in :P

The engine will slide out like that, you'll have to pull one side (right or left) first then the other, but it will come out. You don't have to put the engine on the ground and roll the bus forward (although that will work). I was able to finagle mine out of there with the dual carbs on.

You prolly have a vac leak at one of the intake boots. Regasket the top end and see what happens. You need to find some period correct linoleom flooring!

yeah, i check for leaks and replaced as ness. but still no idle. carb rebuild time.

my buddy Omar (outoftheoffice) came by tonite for a couple hours and we got a large step closer to the tank cleaning. this puts a major dent in the list of things to do before driver status/ monument show... pics of the mayhem
