Oh no way that thing is killer. I wouldnt change a thing. Fix the rust, clear coat it and roll it like that. It has some way cool personality.

I'm not sure if I mentioned it already, the only thing that I'm missing in order to put the whole thing back together is an engine (which I have, i just need to get it running) and a windshield (Kermit has 5 in stock). So, I feel pretty good. There's only 2 areas rusted through, where there windshield meets the front of the bus and at the driver's feet. I'm not too intimidated about that. I may need to call on some DLK metal skills to help me fix it though :ugeek:

I think I'm going to ditch the camper gear in favor of some seats. The guy was actually getting out of vw's, so he gave me his 'stash' of vw goods. I got a good deal for sure. No haggling, I just walked up, walked around the bus, and gave him the prearranged price. Good guy, if you're ever in Palestine, let me know, I'll give you his number.

I'd rather hear 'The Stroke' by Billy Squire.

Thanks for the compliments. I may have an 'assembly' day here in the near future. I need to get the rubber for the doors and windows....

Then it's on!!
