That's the way I'm leaning. I wish somebody hadn't primer-ed the roof, but whatever. The rack and board will cover most of it anyway. I will run it like that at first for sure. Maybe paint someday... maybe not!

 Nice...

OK, I decided to leave off any comments about "Driving" a "Super Fat Chick"
in school while you're thinking about how to design a future VW project...
:wow:

Got to the show just as the awards were being handed out. Sorry I didn't get to meet any of you guys. Saw some good looking tin out there. That sq. back is tits, and I need the low down on the that dark blue bug with white wheels-no caps. It's got the perfect stance! Finally got mine home. It took me almost two hours cleaning out the crap in it, but it came out a little better than I thought. Kind of pissed about the red primer all over it... somebody sees a little patina and they want to bust out the cover all! Srewed up a perfectly good factory paint job. I will be in the market for a passenger door, if anybody knows of one out there. Here's some new pics. Stay tuned...

Someone asked... yeah that's a gas guage below the St Christopher badge

I'm hoping to end up somewhere around here on the paint... ignore the tool in the driver seat, I got this shot off the web.

if they didnt sand the car to put the primer on, i think the trick is to use oven cleaner to strip the primer off??
