Yeah damn cops... ;)

I honestly didn't realize the limit was 30, and my speedo said 40. The guy was really nice to me aside from the ticket. I felt it waranted a warning giving the situation/my perfectly clean record. Does make for a comical read... "vehicle type, 1969 vw camper"

I have been real busy or the pics would be posted... Prob after work later today, ive got tons done.
Resolved the gas tank issues, worked out the brake issues (for now), and got a new carb on and dialed in, CLR'd the ass end and sourced some hankook ra08 tires I need to order.
Takin her about 450 miles without a drop of oil or hiccup. I think I should adjust the valves and timing now
Also have some "offroad" action shots.
Stay tuned......

soooooo finally got some more pics of the progress... trailbash! well me hitting some trails anyway...

Image

had no problems with the trails up to then so i decided to go into some more precarious areas... sailed through no hesitation on the busses part and felt suprisingly able.

Image

in this shot you can see i started to test buff a section of the slider door, more on that to come...

Image

Image

made it through an even hairier section and went back to do it again.....
overzealous :x (would have made it if the damn extra oil sump didnt high center)

Image

Image

took a bit but got out and did it one more time..... :D

So heres some actual progress other than enjoying driving a bus...
stripped the tint off, which being three layers fused together took a solid 5 hours of scraping and whatnot. the result makes the inside nice and bright and from the outside it just looks cleaner.

continuing on the paint preservation/revitilization i started compounding out the slider door and the results were (although hard to see in pics) night and day...

Image

so i had a few beers and tackled the passenger side, little by little...

Image

Image

needless to say, im pretty stoked on how shes coming along since first getting her in the driveway...
