 Post subject: VW Club of Tulsa car show and Swap Meet, Sep. 19, 2009

They've gone back to the old show site at the Tulsa Marriott Southern Hills at 71st and Lewis. There are 2 New Beetle classes, one being stock and the other modified/custom, and 4 for other water-cooleds. There are also many aircooled VW categories, and we get some really nice rides in those.

We're getting the last details worked out, and I'll get them posted as they become available. I do know that, rather than the engine blow we've had in the past, there will be a group building an aircooled engine throughout the day, and the engine will be given away at the end of the show! Also, for those of you who feel like you just have too many trophies, or maybe you're not even there for one but still want to show off your ride, there is a non-judged class for only $10 ($15 after the 11th of Sept). It doesn't come with a T-shirt, but we thought it would be a good option for some.

Tulsa is 45 min from my dad's house so i would guess 13 or so hours away.

Seems like I did it in about 10 hours. Google show 8.25 to 8.5 hrs
