Finally remembered to take the camera and snap some pics. I decided to replace the outer cargo rocker. Here is what I started with.

Opened it up and there was rust through the middle and inner cargo support

As you can see I cut it out to get to solid metal, also the cargo floor needs some attention too so I didnt feel bad cutting that out

Also started to trim down a control arm for the irs conversion. Still have some work to go with this...

Due to the heat out here now, this project may come to a halt. Mano has the template for the side plates. He said he should have those cut out this week.

Nice work...looks like some pretty serious metal replacement ahead.

Picked up my new beam side plates this weekend from Mano. Will post up pics later. Just have to find some time to fit them and see if they will work now. Hopefully Sat. afternoon after work

Here are the pics of the side plates Mano made. Like I said, I will try and fit them to see if they work this weekend  Probably going to go with a set of pollymolly bushings from Wagenswest, along with their irs shackle set.

Well I got the polymoly bushings in nuthin special with those. The sideplates that Mano made up had the top hole 3/16" too far back. I believe it was my template that was off, so it means that I need to get a new set made :furious: . Also got my other rear control arm clean up and ready for some more work. Dont have pics of any of that but I do have some pics of the some funky green goodness.

Was able to get them cut and fit for the inner, and middle cargo support. The outer is 98% fit, just didnt have enought time to get it prepped and welded in.
(Here just the inner is welded in, but the middle is done as well)

Depending on if I have my daughter next weekend, I will try and get the outer cargo wrapped up. If I am able to finish that up, then I will start welding up some area of rust in the bulkhead.

Its not much because I needed replace the entire inner rocker to the rear wheel arch. So all of that was cut out and welded up. Didnt take pics of that, but it doesnt look much different than the other inner rocker, only smaller. The pics are of the rockers painted with rust bullet. Also a pic of the rear outer short rocker welded up. The long rocker is fitted and ready to be spot welded in, I just ran out of time to do that.
