That's alot of work. What do they use to make the paint adhere? I noticed there is no way to sand the area getting painted. If it was scuffed after being taped, it would mess up the tape job. Maybe a spray on adhesion promoter?


It seems like I just saw this process on Muscle Car (Spike) and they used a chymical?? I'll ask Buddy what he does.

I talked to Buddy and got the bad news. He's not going to have the car ready for the Eureka show :cry: Oh well hopefully Dean will shoot it in Ft. Worth. I also talked to him about painting chrome. He said he has to carefully sand and scuff while taped to get a perfect edge. He then uses a metal etching primer and finally paints them. He says it's a real pain in the A$$ :help:

What a PITA!! that means hours of carefull sanding to keep from lifting the tape edges :shock: They sure will look good when they're done though $$ :beer:
