Well today was a productive day. I got all new brake shoes, rebuilt all the wheel cyclinders and replaced the wheel seals on the rear. When I got to the front I looked at the master cyclinder and realized that the brake line that runs to the rear was crimped and all the line past the master cyl. was gutted all the way to the spliter in the rear. I guess the guy who had it before me only had brakes on the front. So for the guys who know me guess what I did? I called around wanting to know "Do I need rear brakes?"? They all told me YES!! So now I am looking for brake line to run to the rear. I hope I can get them here locally at the parts store in the morning. Then I went to put the front drums on and they did not fit because of the new drop spindles. So I called and found out that I need inner wheel bearings and outer tie rod ends for a later car. Luckly the local parts house had the bearings and I had the right tie rod ends. The gas line in the car was replaced with copper lines, so tomorrow I am going to run new brake lines and a steel gas line. Maybe tomorrow evening I can go over to James house and fininsh the beam. Well with all the drama today, I still feel like it was a good day since all the problems were easy to fix. Thanks to all the guys I call with every problem. It makes working on the car easier. Till next time be safe.
Kyle

One more thing. I took the camera today and every time I wanted to take a pic I was covered in grease, oil, or brake crap. I will make sure to have some new pics soon.

Kermit stocks the brake lines you need. If you try and find it more local than that, make sure you take a fiting with you, there are 3 differnt types of metric flares/threads. If you can cut the line end(since its f'ed anyway) and take it with you to match up. Chances of finding a 10' continuous line with the fittings you need will be slim. Most auto stores have 1' or 2' sections. And its not a good idea to splice a bunch together the get the length you need. Good luck!

I had to get them the other night and put them in. The beam is on, I just need to get the tie rod ends cut and ball joints pressed.

Beam is in, just need to go to Ryans and finish the tie rods... I got the rear taken apart to lower the rear. Hopefully I will be running soon... Drive it like I stole it. The front doesnt look that low, it bottoms out when I step on the front bumper.
