I was able to get the windshield installed this weekend. After some studying up from various boards, the install went pretty easy. Took all of 30 minutes without rushing.

Thanks Brian!

Since this was my first install and I saved the expense of the rubber with trim groove until the body repair is completed, I went with a cal-look rubber.

Are cal-look rubber easier to install?

Ah yes the old soap and a rope trick. Nice job its always good when things turn out the way you want them too. You going to drive it and repair rust at the same time? or just leave the rust and roll it like that?

I was told by a wise old man, that if I was to get it running and restore it little by little, there would be a better chance (and more fun) of completion, than to tear it all down, and never completing it.

I don't think the cal look rubber is any easier to install in the car per se, but putting the rubber on the window is definitely easier since you don't have to mess with the trim.
