I hope so Danny. As soon as I get back Its off with the heads and ship them back to Oregon to get fixed! I decided to send both heads back just for grins. So the machinist can compare the two if he needs to. any thoughts on this, guys?

Planning a quick trip to go back and get my bus on the 23rd! Getting a hitch put on my wifes truck tomorrow and got the hook up on a trailer from a friend! Its gonna be a lot of driving but I have a friend going with me so we can trade out driving. Hopefully I can make the transporter show in October in Morgans Point.

So, did you make it to Utah to get the bus?

Just got in from Utah! The loaf is in the garage safe and sound! It makes my garage look gooood. I may get bored and pull the heads tomorrow so I can ship them back to Portland. Its gonna be sweet when i get it back on the road. My wife actually hugged the bus before she hugged me when we got back.....

Took a bunch of pictures of the scenery and the VW shop I picked it up from. I'll post some later. I gave Ed the owner one of my Aircoolers plaques as a thank you for helping me and I think he really liked it. He gave me some license plate holders that say "Vee Dub Service, Ogden, Utah" to put on the bus. The bus pulled really good on the trailer. Uhaul has a rock solid little trailer. The hard part is over...now all i gotta do is get it rolling again.

oh and we ran up on a motorcycle wreck on I-70 outside of Grand Junction, CO and pretty much saved the day! :hillbilly: This guy was going from Cali to Missouri and fell asleep and ran off the road at 85 mph....i got a pic of the bike I'll post up.

This is Ed, the fella that owns Vee Dub Service in Ogden, UT. This was one of his customers sand rails. Really nice car. 2276cc? engine, I think thats what he said. Him and his friend Rick helped me out tremendously. Held my bus for me inside their shop for several weeks.

This was Ed's personal project. 74 Thing with a watercooled Vanagon engine. and a sweet tube frame.

This was the motorcycle wreck we ran up on
