I think the car is 12V with a late model DP in it. Maybe the lightened flywheel that's on the 1641 is slightly different. Nothing a little grinding won't fix.

You got it. I think that i am going to hit it with a grinder tonight and see what happens.

I would suggest that you grind it down vs. hitting it with the grinder. I think it works better that way. w:pw Sorry I couldnt resist.

Hitting it with the grinder worked. :D I got the engine in and put on all of the tin. I also rebuilt the progressive carb I am going to run on the engine. I cant wait to hear this thing run. I am going to tie up loose ends tomorrow and fire this bad boy up. I am also going to get the tags for the car tomorrow. If everything works as planned i am going to get it inspected Saturday morning.

I know you all are like me and like to see pictures so here is an update.

Well good news and bad news. I got the engine running but it wont run correctly. The progressive carb ended up being a bust so i put a 30/31 on it. That carb is also giving me trouble. I now have a 34 pict (Thanks lostcauses) that i am going to rebuild and try. Hopefully it will be running this evening. If so, tomorrow is inspection day!

Still not running correctly. :furious: I have tried everything I know to do. I think that it must still have an intake leak somewhere. I runs poorly anywhere under about 30 degrees of timing. I am going to drag it up to work and mess with it there Thursday evening. I managed to make the neighbors mad Sunday so I figured I should work on it elsewhere. :blueguy:
