realy pulling my hair out over it...ive tried 10 diff ways to fit it but still no luck....im running later shoes because they are wider but that should not have anything to do with it...there no bigger just wider...when you put the cable on it pulls the e-brake rod in therefore sending the shoes out causing the drum not to fit...

oh well, guess you'd better get rid of it. Don't worry, I'll take it off your hands. ;)

3 things that may help
1. Do you have the cables crossed where the come out of the tubes in the tunnel?

2. Have you tried to put the cable on the shoe first and then put the cable on the lever with someone pushing gently on the shoe to get the nut on the lever started?

3. Did you compare the sizes of your tube from the drum to body with the original one? When I did my 66, the size was different from the original and the one I bought, and I had too much play. I could screw the nut down to the end of the threads. I though I was going to have to tap the dumb thing.

ethan came over today and he can attest there just is something screwed up...i was trying to put later shoes and cylenders to have wider brakes and i figured out a way to get it on with some fabrication but when i screwed the nuts on with the 200 plus pounds of torgue i could not spin the wheels so i think i need to go back to the mid year shoes and cylenders which ill pick up tommorrow...i called today and bap geon got them in for me...tony over there is the greatest...

other work i did after ethan left and after i spent two hours trying to get the b/s to work.. i did some easy assembly
