I'm already committed for Saturday, sorry. When you split the case, try not to let the lifters fall out, they should be kept with their respective lifter bores and cam lobes. Other than that, everything pretty much just comes apart. You will need a puller to get the gears off the crank to be able to remove and replace the #3 main bearing, if you don't have one you can bring it by my place some time and I can pull it for you.

I appreciate the info. Is it important to make sure ALL components are kept paired up or just the lifter to cam, respectively?

If it is just a 3rd main bearing that is spun, what should it look like?

It has a spun bearing? It doesn't hurt to keep the rods in their original position, and I would also keep the piston and cylinder sets together, and keep track of where they go, but if you are going to hone the cylinders and re-ring them its not as important.
You need to inspect/measure all the journals, especially if there was a spun a bearing. They may need some work.

Was able to finally get a plan together and built a dolly to hold the body and still be able to roll the pan underneath, well soon I will be as you can see in the following pictures. I will be making some changes to the dolly to make it ideal tomorrow or Monday.

Thanks! It exhausted me; primarily because I was sooo stressed while pulling the body off!

Started already (while the body was on...) with breaks, but soon realized that the brake lines run on top of the pans, so I decided to stop the brakes and tackle installing the pan halves first. Then I will do the brakes and suspension.

Alright here the deal so bear with me. Not to knock your work, but I do believe that the car dolly that you have made is unsafe. Yes I see that you have placed guessets in the corners. If you look at where all the weight is, it is right in the center. This creates a really long bridge in theory. The longer the bridge, the greater the flexure. Greater flexure creates quicker failure at the sides. The sides bow out and the car falls. There is nothing to really prevent the sides from pushing out from the weight of the car other than the small quessets. The only suggestion that I can make is run a 2X4 along the bottom on the front and back(but this doesnt allow you to slide the pan in and out), or take a look at Psycho57 or my build up and look at the sawhorses that we made. They dont move, but we can slide the pan out from under them. PM Jeff or I for dimensions if you like. I just worry that your car will get damaged, or more importantly you or a loved one will get hurt. I hope that you get the serious nature of this, as I feel it is that important. Besides the sawhorses cost less than $20 and if done right could save your life.

On a lighter note, progress is looking good so far. Keep it up ;)
