So I now have an official recuring problem. The fuel line is wearing through at the end of the brass fitting to the gas tank. It looks like the fuel line is too big for the brass fitting, but its clamped goodntight. The same fuel line fit all the other fittings very well, the fitting at the tank is new. Do I have cheap chinees crap? Built to the wrong spec? I think I am gonna buy the next size smaller line and replace it. This has happend 3 times now. I can fix the problem in less than 5 min, but I don't wanna think I'm going to a car-b-que soon! Any thoughts as to why the fuel line is always wearing through at the end of the tank fitting?

That doesn't make sense, is it possible something is moving it around? If it's one of those barbbed fittings, the lines are hard to take off. I don't see how the line could make it's self bigger unless something is rubbing it.

make sure there are no sharp edges on the metal line sounds like it is cutting thru the hose ?
and make sure you have sufficient hose flexability so it doesnt get too tight if something is moving around

Are your tie rods or something pulling on the fuel hose?

Maybe you have too much hose, and its bouncing around under its own weight a lot :?:

post a pic of the hose and fitting I dont think the weight of the hose will do that so fast it has to be either something putting pressure on the hose or the fitting has a sharp edge cutting it
