nope.
the lower shock mount is the same distance from the axle with either the kit or stock lower mount. If the axle moves up, ie you lower the car, the distance between the upper and lower shock mounts gets smaller. Whether you move the axle with the kit or the "old fashion" way, the bottom of the shock still moves with it the same amount, since in both cases the bottom shock mount is in the same place with respect to the axle. think about it...

It's cool. Hopefully the motor will make it in this weekend. With the wife gone on a photo shoot in L.A., I hope to get a lot of work done this weekend.

whatever dude you just dont get it, its not the same. even the position of the he shock is different. when you lower your car via the splines the rear wheel shoves forward to the front of the car hince the lower shock mount itself is closer to the front of the car. these swing it back down in a vertical position. until you inspect this system in person or install a set you will never understand. but i assure you they are different.

the distance the bottom of the shock moves left to right or front to back from that kit has almost no bearing on the shock travel what so ever. Let's assume the bottom of the shock moves like 3 inches left to right, front to back, or some combination. The shock is what, about 20" or so long? 3" over 20 " is an angle of 8 degrees (arctan(3/20)). The difference in travel is therefore (1 - 1/cos(8 degrees))x100% = 0.97%. So if you can really feel a 1% increase in shock travel then I guess you're right, lol. Even if you assume you move the bottom of the shock 5", it's still only a 3% increase in shock travel. Trigonometry is your friend ;)

thats all fine and dandy with the big talk. but what doesnt lie is a tape measure I just went out and measured I have 14 1/4 inch from bolt to bolt. I will be quite suprised if your car measures that.
