13. Disable 'Starter Inhibitor Switch' wires.
Remember the wires with the rubber boot on which you took off the front of the trans? Well if you pull back the boot you will find 3 wires, two thick red ones and a thin (grey?) one. The thick red ones were connected to the SI switch, which ensured that the starter would not operate with the car in gear. The thin wire is irrelevant.

As manual transmissions do not have a SI switch, you will need to connect these two wires together to eliminate it. I cut the connectors off the wires and then soldered them for a good connection, but you could use some other kind of terminal block or crimp connector.
