Still acquiring the pieces. I will throw all the new bits on after the pan is restored and coated. Looks like I will try and reuse most of the brake hardware if they come out clean and usable. I will be stripping the brake system down and media blasting this weekend while I am at my grandparents shop.

How much you want to sell the dolly for when you get done? I can pick it up too.

As soon as I can get the pan, suspension, and brakes finished, I will be not using for a while. Might not sell it, but I could let you borrow it.

I appologize for not being very active lately; I have been really busy lately, with my other job as the Youth Leader at my church and I have not done much to my Ghia after putting the body on the dolly.

Saturday with the weather being as awesome as it was and not having too much looming over my head, I pulled the Ghia (body and pan) out of the garage to take a good look at the magnitude of replacing the pans. The fun began with just vacuuming the debris and rust off the pan. Then I was looking at what looked to be seam sealer, and I began casually scrapping/chipping a few areas. Next thing I knew, I had all the seam sealer removed and had quickly discovered that the pan is spot welded from the factory. I decided to take a break and finally watch the Bug-Me video I had on pan replacement. After finishing the video, I said I can definitely do this! So I went and borrowed my father-in-laws Saws-All, went to the store and purchased a metal blade and a cheap Air Hammer (air chisel) and went to town...

Great work their my friend. Looking good.

Few suggestions though.
1. Place the pans in like they are, lower your body back on and bolt up the pan. Tack in the pan halves and pull the body back off (or just weld as much as poss with it like that). The PO of the pan on my 63 didnt do this and the bolt holes are off 1/4" on both sides

2. Use your existing seat rails from the old pan if you havent already.

Your work is looking great though, looking forward to the progress.
