Thanks for sharing those pics Eric. My plan was to drop by, but something came up... Family comes first.

Looks like a nice mix of VWs, and of course a good show of DLK cars. Congrats to the winners!

After all, it is people's choice and the show was at a VW dealership chosen by people that either don't know or care for classic VWs. That car would never make it at The Classic or or any other classic VW show.

Lol!! Yeah, it was BS. The water cooled crowd outnumbered the air cooled. I don't mean by cars. I guess if you can get enough of your buds together to vote, you can win with anything. Hopefully he had to buy them all a steak dinner  I know the people running the dealership felt bad that most people didn't vote on the quality, and detail put into the cars. The the car chosen as winner was cool, but wasn't at all the best car there, not even close. But that's a people's choice show for you.

That is one of the big reasons I got out of water cooled dubs and got back into aircooled. The last show I had my Jetta in, there was a brand new Jetta GLi, they had just came out that year, literally bought the day before the show, which took a people's choice award while my car, which was very tastefully modded, did not. Totally lame that you can buy a brand new car and do *nothing* to it, and get a trophy...
Besides, front wheel drive cars are gay, lol. :P

Here's my old Jetta

Damn Brian, that's pretty clean! You've never shown me pictures of your Jetta.
