I had Kermit align bore the case and swapped cranks with him, as well as picked up all the new bearings, etc. today, so the motor is ready to start going back together. :)

Chris and Chuck were there too  .

Good to see you again, Constantine and it was nice to meet you, Chuck.

Well tonight we got most of the short-block buttoned up. Thanks to Brian and Paul for staying until 4 o'clock in the morning! :wow:

I broke a piston ring today :| , and we were missing a dowel pin, which Eric made 8-) . He also came over and painted the engine bay flat black. Thanks Eric!

Main bearing #3 was being a PITA, but in the end everything went together pretty smoothly.

Here's some pictures:

So what are you gonna do about that piston ring? Will Kermit warranty it? I'm sorta glad you didn't come out and grab my old ones.... I don't think you should put a used ring on there. The top end will go together in no time!

Paul should have changed out of his 200 dollar cole hauns before going over to team Ukraines. Cause Pauls feet hurt like hell this afternoon. It was cool having "Pops" out on the garage all morning helping with measurements and telling Russian Aggie jokes. I VOTES HIM IN FOR MEMEBERSHIP

Well Brian stayed late again today until 2 AM :) (thanks a lot dude). The engine is back in one piece and ready to go in. I'll post pictures in the morning since I only got about 3 hours of sleep last night  .
