mock it up first. I've had a lot of type 3's, you are in for a lot of work to get them in.

I had to roll the fenders and pull them out a bit. too high and the fender lip is in the way. too low and the top of the inner fender is in the way. It took a lot of adjusting inner and outer splines, bolting everything together, and putting it on the ground and rolling it back and forth, only to see it rub. back apart, adjust some more, got it perfect, but then the inside of the tire hits the inner fender. bang that in (or massage as Hot VW's would say) and it's all good. and dont let anyone in the back or cary anything, cause it'll rub. all of that, and my buddy left the bug nosecone and stick on when he swapped to the short axle. DOH
All of that, and those were 5.5's not 6's, but yours look like 5.5's to me.
thats why I went 4.5's all the way around on my last squareback! Not worth it but we were determined
