I also jack up the car from under the spring plate cover. I've caved a weak heater channel using the jack points...

You know - British cars are the same. It seems they design their cars so that the under chassis get well lubed from the oil seepage (in the British world - engines don't leak, they seep :D )

in the VW world, engines don't leak oil, they mark their spot.
