well i would like to have the power to whoop a vette or a camaro ...if needed..lol.
but i dont want to push the threshold for not being a daily driver..i want best of both worlds.
this way i have a heads up on what i am looking at to spend.. and thanks for the comments on the dash guys..eventually i wanna do a full restoration

It can be done, but costs a bit and there are tradeoffs. I whoop up on 400 hp cars and daily drive mine, but you have to factor in not just the motor but the other components, mainly the tranny (don't forget to include axles $$), but also the brakes and suspension to handle it. You will need a good, strong close ratio box if you want to hang with the v8s, but then your drivability starts to suffer. Going fast in a VW is all about comprimises, and which ones you can live with depending on how you plan on using the car.

well i dont have to hang with 400hp vehicles, i want to be noticed, i will keep it more of a daily driver with big balls...instead of doing the interior first, i will begin getting the suspension and brakes up graded first of all , and giving it the stance i am looking for and begin saving for the powerplant. any and all opinons will be considered.
trying to find a name for my bug also....for personalized plates...taking suggestions....considered "deez 67"
