Decisions, decisions....
Motor is of course out, and stripped down to a long block. Thanks Doug for the use of your stand, and thanks Dylan for coming by yesterday and helping get it on said stand. Now here is where the problems start. I found my oil leak. Not coming from the case halves or the rear main like I thought. But coming from the sump cover. I dont know how, and I can't understand why, but every nut on the cover was finger tight. The only one I can blame obviously is myself for this is me. But the odd thing is, while taking the motor from complete assembly down to a long block, every nut, bolt, fastener was only hand tight. I had a can of PB Blaster ready and didnt use it for anything. During disassembly I found a nice little stamp on the passenger case half that looks like it says, or said, GEX. Dylan saw it yesterday. Tonight I started with a wire brush on a drill to try and clean up that area and the GEX went away. Its like the case is coated in some really thick paint and it was stamped in that. Under the oil cooler it is stamped 020. So my only guess is that its been line bored .020 . I have yet to split the case or even remove the heads because now knowing what it is, or could be, I am a little nervous about what I may find. My thoughts right now are to leave well enough alone, put it back together, and start saving some money for a new motor. Or I could hope for the best, split the case and hope I get lucky. Thoughts, suggestions, words of advise?
Here are some pics...

Ditto, unless it's not running well and puffing white smoke.

Ran fine, no smoke. Just gonna reassemble and run it until it breaks. I guess I will be a little on the safe side and check the head bolt torque though.
