I'm going to cut the mani's about a 1/2" above the bend, polish it up so I have a smooth sealing surface, then just use some of these http://www.corsportusa.com/store/catalo ... ts_id=9258. I'm hoping the 3" length will have enough flex since I need about 10mm of fudge room to make it all jive. I'm going to cut the couplers down if I can get away with it, the air filters I want to run are 4" tall. I'll shoe horn it all in there somehow. As far as the fuel rail goes, something like this http://www.rossmachineracing.com/custom ... drail.html with some injector bungs, I'll have to call them to see if they are willing to do 6" rails.

crap...I just went out and measured how much room I got to work with. with a type 3 motor I have 9" from the inner flange surface of the head to the engine lid.

shortened mani 1.5"ish
reducer couplers 2"ish
TB 3.5"
air filters 3.5"ish

So close, here's option number 2: shorten the mani as far as I can, have a Al plate made out 3/8" with the right spacing for the TBs welded on and use these to mate the TB to it http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-Suzuk ... ccessories. You type 1 guys are lucky having all that room :redguy:

I'm going to have to do option 2 since type 3 engine bays are so vertically challenged, off to ebay I go for those throttle body boots.

I must confess something, I have a man-crush on Scotty's 356. Well its too rich for my blood so the nxt best thing is to have notch painted Azure Blue and roll on gun metal cup 2 wheels...that should work perfectly for the GL theme.

The daily is fixed so I can the welding done on the notch now, time to cut a hole in a perfectly good roof, giggity.

Your the second person to say that, they are actually really tiny almost half the physical size of a 40 IDF, but its a 38mm so my mild 2L should have plenty of drivability. GSX-R600 makes 115hp stock with those ITB's (their redline is 15,500 :wow: ), so it should flow perfect for my setup. I'm guessing I'll be in the 100-120 range(its going to come down to my tune for the fuel and ignition)

The cool thing with motorcycle ITB's is that you got lots of options: GSXR 600 38mm, GSXR 1000 40mm, busa 42mm, and old GSXR 750 SRAD has 46mm...giggity. Thats just Suzuki's(the most abundant and cheapest on ebay), there are still tons of options with Kawi's, Yami's, and Honduh's. They all run the small Pico style injectors (easy to convert them to regular injectors) so that helps to fit everything in a cramped engine compartment.
