if eric wanted to do a "custom" paint job he could metal flake clear it like KCW...by custom I mean half-ass. Eric is an absolute professional though.

Looking awesome guys

Disclaimer- I am well aware certain peeps associated with kcw will get severely butt hurt by that comment that I made above w:pw

Eliot : Forgive me for the hijack -- I'll respond to supaninja publicly, then if he wants to keep going -- we'll take it to PM's....

I don't know why I'm even responding to your comment supaninja, because most KCW haters dont get it, and probably never will. I don't know you at all, so I'll try...

KCW has the ability to do just about ANY quality level you're willing to PAY for. Most of us don't have the deep pockets like Eliot-- I certainly don't. Next time you see my KCW ride -- feel free to come over and take your shots at the lack of "quality". But you know what? --- that's all the quality I could afford. Is that something to hate on?

KCW was willing to do work at a lower quality level, that fit into my limited budget, so that I could get my truck on the road -- to be driven and enjoyed -- that's more important to me than a blocked, cut, and buffed perfectly straight paint and body job. If it weren't for KCW, my truck would still be an unrestored pile in the back corner of my shop -- BECAUSE of KCW, I've enjoyed over 10,000 miles of driving in this past year and a half.

Eric has incredible abilities and he proves it on every project he puts his hands on. He's a perfectionist and only accepts/produces that level of quality. That's his method and that's his perogative. And I 'm pretty sure that the work he does is very expensive -- as it should be.

KCW's focus is to put as many vintage VW's back on the road as possible. KCW can definitely produce high quality, but they also provide a service that not many others offer -- they will do as little or as much as you want them to -- from a high show car quality level to a "driver" quality level and anything in between. With KCW, the customer sets that level of quality.

Not everyone wants a show car -- lots of us drive our cars -- either way is good.

I don't get "butt hurt" at the KCW-hating -- truly no hard feelings at all -- actually I'm used to it -- but I'll damn sure represent KCW with pride.

Scotty

KCW does great work. The sheet metal fab skills, and panel replacement skills are top notch

Scottys bus is awesome. I respect what they do over there. They have built tons of nice VWs. I have no doubt they can build to any level.
