Thanks guys, I'm really excited about this build. I still haven't heard back from Rimco yet, but in the mean time I had a package waiting for me. I another set of 1.7L heads w/ 1.7L rockers(they are the hot setup and have 8mm adjusters so I can run 911 swivel adjusters now), I just wanted a set of rockers, the one set that was on thesamba sold the day before i contacted the seller. I found those heads on a poorly titled ad, now I got an extra set of heads for the next engine build, giggity! The sweetest part is that i got the heads and rockers for $25 less then the set that I missed by a day, friggin awesome!

I got a few updates:

The heads shipped from Rimco yesterday
all the little stuff to finish up the valve train/threaded galley plugs/all new case hadware has been ordered.
De-rusted the front apron and polished up the front bumper a bit, plus mounted my front plate...

It's merc'd the fuck out now!

I got a better set of front fender's, just been too lazy to mount them :nono:
Waiting on The VW museum for the car's birf certificate.

I'm going to get a 091 bellhousing and make that engine stand I got at the swapmeet a dual purpose engine/test stand.

She's right on track to being a driver, I'll probably beat Chuck getting mine back on the road w:pw

I made a blog for the car, its way easier to keep my build updated. http://1965notch.blogspot.com/

Thanks Eric  That intake will look right at home under the engine lid. I managed to get the best angle on that front apron, its pretty damn beat up, thanks to Meredith, I got a useable front clip.
