Have you cleaned up the interior yet? I am wondering if you could have the piping sewed back in on the front seats. How cool would it be if you could repair em.

I think I'm going to tackle the exterior first, that way it's more appealing to the my parents. Then maybe take it to Arjona to see if he can work some magic on the seats.

It shouldn't take too much to get it back on the road. The brakes aren't locked up, roll no problem with good tires.

put some transmission fluid in the intake and turn the motor over by hand to try and soak the rings...it will smoke like hell for a few mins when you get it running but might keep the motor from cratering since its been sitting so long...

Since this one has so much tangible history, I would leave it stock, original. IMO
